Parties at Christmas
Kentwell can accommodate many ideas for a successful Christmas Party. Kentwell Tudor Feasts (for a minimum of 40) are as enjoyable at this time as at any other but more traditional Receptions and Dinners are easily arranged. Smaller groups (up to 30 or so) might also consider joining one of our Christmas Concerts.
Receptions
Kentwell can host Receptions serving drink, with or without Canapés, using the Main Rooms of the House. The maximum number we can accommodate for this is 150. (We charge for a minimum of 60.)
Cost will vary from about £20 per person + VAT (depending upon numbers) for the use of facility plus from £5 per person for Canapés (depending upon number and choice of Canapés) plus Alcohol as consumed (you supply or we buy on your behalf) + Orange Juice and Mineral Water as consumed, which we supply and which usually works out for a Reception at about £1/£1.50 per person.
You could also have a Quartet, Minstrels (cost about £400) or a Pianist (cost about £200) play at the Reception.
Dinners
It is easy to combine a Reception with a three or four course Dinner either as a sit down buffet or served to tables, again using the Main Rooms. The maximum numbers ifor this n the House would be 120 but using the Overcroft would be 180/200.
Cost would be an additional £25 to £35 per person depending upon numbers and choice of menu plus Alcohol as consumed (you supply or we buy on your behalf) plus Orange Juice and Mineral water as consumed during the meal, which will usually add a further about £1/£1.50 per person.
An extra for the meal would be to have Entertainers, such as a Caricaturist, Silhouette Artist, Close Magician etc., quietly working his way round the diners. This will add an additional about £300/£400 per artist.
Post Dinner Entertainment
The evening need not end there. You could have 'Funny Money' Gaming in a Casino set up in the Library or a Disco in the Undercroft. The former would cost an extra about £750 (2 gaming tables)to £1,250 (4 gaming tables); the latter an additional £500 to £600 + VAT. In each case plus whatever further alcohol or soft drinks and mineral water were then to be consumed.
Concerts
For a Group to join one of our Christmas Concerts, the cost would be as stated elsewhere less a discount depending upon the size of the party. For further details go to Christmas Performances
