Lesser Weekend Tudor Re-Creations
These are much smaller than the Major Weekend Re-Creations and involve a few Tudors concentrating upon just one or two aspects of everyday Tudor Life. These Events should be viewed as providing a little Tudor extra to a visit to House, Gardens & Farm. However as each weekend has a clear theme some visitors who are interested can spend more time understanding that aspect.
Lesser Weekend Tudor Re-Creation Themes
Wool & Gardens Weekend - This is a weekend where we add a Tudor angle to the shearing of the sheep. So we usually have spinners, carders, weavers & felters active. Also folk at the Cot and Needlewomen in the Moat House as well one or two others who may come along.
Apple Day Weekend - Kentwell has over 60 varieties of apple in its Walled Garden (as well as other varieties elsewhere). We highlight these varieties and show how today we work with the fruit. We may have Tudors showing what was done similarly in the past.
Weekend Re-Creations of Every Day Tudor Life will take you to the bigger Tudor Weekend Re-Creations.
