The High Summer Re-Creation of Tudor Life 24 - 27 Aug 2012

This is a very popular Weekend Re-Creation - a follow-up to the Great Annual Re-Creation which ended in early July. It is on a much smaller scale but nonetheless covers much represented then with some activity in the House, more in the Moat House and some in the Gardens and Farm areas. It carries through as many of the Great Annual Re-Creation's themes and activities as possible. If the weather is favourable as much as possible takes place outside.

We usually expect about 150 Tudors to take part, although there are always fewer on the Friday. There is no Time Tunnel.

House, Garden & Farm

Are all Open fully this weekend.

The House is Open as usual but there will be some Tudor activities in some of the Rooms.  There is usually much Tudor happenings in the Dairy, Bakehouse, Stillromm and Needle Room in the Moat House.  The Camera Obscura is also at its best at this time of year.

In the Garden, the Potager and Herb Garden are usually fine and the espaliered apple trees should be fruiting a'plenty.

Roses on the Moat walls and in the Gardens should be in full bloom.

Catering

Full Catering is available at several locations and the Tudor Alehouse serving Tudor fare should be fully functioning.

Special Prices apply for this weekend - see below. HHA visitors do not enjoy free entry during this weekend.  If you buy on-line there may be discounts off the prices stated below. The On-Line Prices may vary from time to time. On-line Tickets for this weekend are available for use on any one day of the weekend. 

 You don't have to buy tickets in advance and can usually be sure of buying tickets on entry.

Full Day tickets may also be bought in advance at discounted prices see below. These discounted prices may vary from day to day.
