Why Choose Kentwell? We specialize in bespoke weddings - tailored to each couple's requirements. We can cover everything from a Civil Wedding Ceremony to a grand Departure accompanied by fireworks. In short if you want a wedding that will be different and exactly what you want, Kentwell should be your choice.
Organization Judith Phillips of Kentwell is (usually) directly responsible for organizing & over-seeing all weddings at Kentwell and has done so since the late 1970s. You will quickly come to place confidence in her.
Style Kentwell Weddings offer something akin to old fashioned elegance. The wedding you would have at home if your home were big enough.
Numbers Kentwell can accommodate up to 240 for a Wedding. Up to 120 using the Main Rooms of the House. For larger numbers we use a marquee or the huge Timber-framed Overcroft. We have done Weddings for quite small numbers and also for very large gatherings.
Alcohol Kentwell is not licensed. You supply your own alcohol or we buy it on your behalf. We just charge for serving all drink.
Catering We do all Catering in-house in the House but with the Overcroft you may use you own caterers, if you wish.
Formality Most Weddings at Kentwell are very relaxed but we can be as formal as you require.
Themed Weddings Kentwell welcomes Themed weddings. We have unrivalled experience in this area having organized Re-Creations of Everyday Tudor Life since 1979 and of WWII Life since 1995.

Wedding Date At Kentwell, booking a date is NOT the first thing you do. You will decide, after a meeting with Mrs Phillips, if you want a Kentwell Wedding. If you do, you will want to choose a date convenient to both of us. So, whenever possible, settle your date after such a meeting not before.
Extras At Kentwell we can cope with most things:such as late hours, dancing, fireworks, entertainers, exclusive use, arrival by parachute or helicopter etc..
Rolls Royce Kentwell has its own 1931 cream coloured Rolls Royce limousine which can carry the Bride to a Ceremony away from Kentwell, collect the couple and convey them to their first night.
State Bedroom Suite is available as a honeymoon suite (and two other four poster suites are sometimes available for bride's & groom's parents).
Cost Depends upon numbers and what you require. For 70, say, for it is likely to be between about £70 and about £100 per person, depending upon a couple's choice of extras. But we always give you an indication of what your requirements might cost before you have to commit yourself. Indeed, for those prepared to concentrate upon the essentials we have managed to tailor weddings to suit quite limited budgets and enjoyed trying to do so.
Couples can have just a Civil Marriage Ceremony in Kentwell's Magnificent Great Hall (for up to 120) or Library (smaller numbers) from only £600 (if Reception at Kentwell) or £800 (if Reception elsewhere).
