Burns Night

Sat 25 January - Burns Night

Whether you've Scottish ancestry or not, you'll find it a stimulating occasion!
* Reception drink on arrival
* Three course traditional Burns Night banquet supper
* Entertainment
* Dress Code: evening dress; tartan/plaid optional
Tickets £48 per person - pay bar available

**Even though he’s Scottish, Robert Burns is a great poet and is properly to be honoured. **

  • Come dressed as a Scot in kilt or trews (try and get it right! A good compromise is a evening dress top and tartan trews) but it is not essential but come dressed elegantly.
  • Reception and complimentary hot mull in the Great Hall. Dinner and entertainment in the Overcroft.
  • A suitably Scottish menu. Yes, centred upon Haggis (but with a Vegetarian version)!
  • Wine & Whisky from the paybar.
  • There will be appropriate Burns flavoured toasts, recitations and speeches.
  • You’ll learn something of Burns' life. The ladies loved him, as he them!
  • We’ll then push the tables back and clear the floor for some Scottish dancing.

Tickets £48 per person - a special discounted rate for the first of this series of dinner evenings.

Pre-booking essential - bookings will close at 10am on 24 January.
