Visits with Roast Lunch
On certain weekends throughout the season, our new Chef, Richard, will be showcasing Kentwell meat as well as what his cooking can offer for our Tearoom.
Richard will be preparing a special Kentwell Roast Lamb lunch (one course plus tea/coffee) on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April, noon to 2pm.
The price will include entry to Kentwell's House, Gardens, Farm, small Tudor event and Family Trails will be open from 11am to 5pm on both days. Price including lunch is £17.50 for adults and £14 for under 12s.
Spring is the perfect time to visit the Kentwell Garden.
Explore the spring at Kentwell with lovely walks through the massed spring bulbs in the gardens and woodland. Weather-depending, our daffodil displays usually last well into April and some even into May.
After the daffodils, primroses, cowslips, oxslips, bugle, violets and forget-me-nots provide colourful displays, and finally in May, bluebells line our woodland walks. With the fruit blossom in the Walled Garden and the Herb Garden and Potager coming to their peak, the spring is a beautiful time to explore the Kentwell grounds.
Fun for Families
Our Storybook Trail is a fun way for families to enjoy the gardens and we have lots of new stories for you this year. Follow the trail and find scenes from popular stories, with an excerpt from the story itself to read together. Let your imagination take you on an adventure through some of your favourite tales! We hear the gardeners are concerned about a Very Hungry Caterpillar, that Frog and Toad have been busy sweeping leaves and Three Little Pigs are just about to get an unexpected visitor. Some of last year's favourites are returning - dare you cross the Troll's bridge, like the Three Billy Goats Gruff? Reports are also coming in that a Heffalump has again been spotted in the woods... is anyone ready to go on a Heffalump Hunt?
