  • Witches walk- brave your way down witches walk & help create spells
  • Werewood- watch out for dragons and werewolves
  • Haunted hedgecastle- get top scaring tips from our resident ghost and brave our dungeon

Sessions: The time on the ticket categories is the earliest time at which you may enter the event and start your visit. You are then welcome to stay for the rest of the day until the event closes at 4.30pm. Please arrive in good time for your little witches and wizards to get the most out of their visit!

Dress up in your favourite Halloween outfits, or come in outfits suitable for the School of Sorcery, for double the fun - but make sure you are wrapped up warm underneath them, and feel free to wear your magical wellies, as most of the activities will be outside.

For more details about Hallowsgate, and other Kentwell events, follow Kentwell Hall's Facebook Page for announcements.

Access: some activities take place in our 15th Century Moat House building, which cannot accommodate pushchairs or prams (prams and pushchairs must be parked outside) and has limited disability access. Elsewhere, access is acceptable but may be more challenging in wet weather.

Age range: this event is specifically created for children to enjoy up to the age of 11, however we do not put restrictions on children over this age range if they would like to attend.

Can we leave the children for the day?
No, a parent or guardian or carer must be with and supervise their children at all times.

Is it free for Adults? We only want to watch.
We charge for adults, as well as children, as there are activities for the whole family to get involved and get hands-on with. The price is the same from 5 years old to 99!

Will it be scary?
No, it is not intended to be scary. it will be more Halloween-inspired, suitable for younger visitors!

What should we wear?
Please ensure that children are dressed suitably for activities outdoors as well as indoors, as this event will be going ahead whatever the weather. Fancy dress encouraged for twice the fun!

What about Hungry Little Monsters?
A range of ghoulishly delicious food and snacks will be available for your little monsters from the stable yard and van in our unfairground. Food for big monsters will be available too!

Will the House and Gardens be open?
The main House will not be Open but the adjoining Moat House will be one of the main centres of activity. Elsewhere the Gardens will be used but not the Farm area which is given over to Scaresville, our adult scare event, which is closed during the daylight hours.

On-line tickets will only be available to buy before 9am on the day of your visit. After that time, tickets will be available to buy at the Gift Shop, from 10.30am.
