'Live as a Tudor' Volunteers
We are seeking volunteers to take part in our Re-Creations of Tudor Life. If you have ever wanted to travel in time, now is your chance! We are looking for over 600 people of all ages to spend one or two weeks in the Sixteenth Century. The chosen year is 1556 and the event runs from 17th June to 8th July 2012. Once you have taken part in this, you are welcome to attend our other special events throughout the year.

Volunteer scarers to take part in Scaresville 2012
Volunteer scarers wanted for Scaresville 2012 taking place in October 2012. Do you dare??
We are looking for people able to commit to three nights scaring minimum and one training day/evening beforehand.
If you are over 18 and think you have what it takes to be a scarer -contact us to find out what it entails!
Responsible people only for a demanding, but stimulating opportunity. We're sure you will have a devilish time!

Regular Volunteers
Kentwell usually has vacancies for volunteers with a wide range of skilled experience, especially active retired folk able to assist in the Gardens, Grounds, Shop, Tearooms, Gate, Car parking, etc.
Internships:
Kentwell offers each year two or three graduates with very good degrees (occasionally for outstanding GAP year students) internships working with all aspects of Kentwell’s activities: House Opening, Re-Creations, Special Events, Open Air Entertainments, Festivals, Weddings & Functions, Filming etc. These Activities run from March through to Christmas. The work is 6 days a week including Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays. Usually for 6 months March to October, sometimes to December and sometimes also for shorter periods.
University Student Summer Vacation Placements
Kentwell often has vacancies for students to help with some or more of all its activties from Easter through to Christmas. Experience gained at Kentwell should prove of use for almost any career. Usually over weekends throughout or for a month or 6 weeks between May to end October, especially June/July and late September to end October.
For both the above, Applicants should be bright, versatile, adaptable, willing to help in almost any of Kentwell's activities, able and willing to work long hours, be mobile and live (or lodge) reasonably close to Kentwell. It is hard work but you can learn a lot and work in a very stimulating environment and come into contact with many talented and lively people. Kentwell is very busy during the season but offers involvement in a wider range of activities than almost any other Historic House in England Apply to Mr Phillips by e-mail with CV at any time.

Function & Tearoom Staff
Responsible Persons
To assist with preparations for and serving Kentwell catering for Functions and in the Tea-room - usually at weekends and during school holidays.
You should be responsible, able to deal with public and prepared to observe high standards of presentation and service. Apply to Mrs Phillips with CV
Youngsters:
Opportunities for youngsters to gain paid work experience usually (but not exclusively) during the season (Easter to end October and run up to Christmas).
Kentwell offers casual or part time work in a pleasant environment at weekends and during school holidays mainly working in a Tearoom and at Weddings and Other Evening Functions. There are also (more limited) opportunities occasionally at certain times in other areas of Kentwell’s activities. Best suited to bright, presentable students studying for GCSE or ‘A’ Levels or at University.

Shop Front of House Person
Responsible person, able to work or his or her own, with a pleasant and lively personality able to engage with the public to sell tickets and shop items at Kentwell's entrance point. Variable working days but most Saturdays and every Sunday March to end October.
