Kentwell has always been a children friendly place to visit and is well known for its Re-Creations of Everyday Tudor Life.  Now Kentwell introduces its own Christmas Event designed for children. For one long weekend only come to Kentwell and have a taste of the Christmas of Yesteryear.  You'll see how you can make your own Christmas so much more pleasurable.

This is what you can enjoy

The Victorian Household

Meet the Victorian Family of Mrs Bence and her children, relatives and friends as they decorate the House for Christmas and prepare all kinds of Christmas items.  Join in music-making and carols in the Great Hall.  See the staff busy at work too.

Dickens's A Christmas Carol

See a presentation of this most popular work read by Mr Dickens against the background of tableaux complete with illusions - a truly wondrous effect.

Victorian Bakehouse

Come to  the Bakehouse to join in making mince pies and gingerbread men for Christmas

Make Craft Items

Make under expert guidance a whole range of old time decorations & items to hang on your own Christmas Tree.

Biblical Animals

Visit the animals in the Stables and see the manger

Santa's Grotto

Enter Santa's Grotto and tell him your dearest wishes and if you're fortunate receive a present.
