Tudor High Summer this weekend

Enjoy everyday life in Tudor England this bank holiday weekend at Kentwell’s Tudor High Summer!

Kentwell's 2013 Open Air Season a Success

We were delighted with the turn out for this year's Open Air entertainment season! Thank you to everyone who came and see our performances; we hope you enjoyed them as much as we did.

Congratulations Pip and Francis!

A beautiful Handfasting took place at Kentwell this afternoon, between Pip Cabbage the Mummer and Francis (Fanny) Green of the Stillroom. They broke bread and counted the crumbs that fell into an apron, foretelling how many children they will have.

Love is in the air...

We enjoyed a glorious Tudor Handfasting yesterday, between our Alehouse keeper Jack and Rush Weaver, Jennet. Their hands were tied before they jumped together over fire (created by our Alchemist) in a traditional handfasting ceremony.

Battle of Britain Lancaster Bomber Flyover

We were delighted to enjoy the unexpected low flyover of the Battle of Britain Lancaster bomber on Saturday at 12.37, which flew over Kentwell on its way to the flyover over Buckingham Palace. Not exactly a Tudor activity but so exciting for all who saw it!

Enter the Time Tunnel

Do you remember stepping through the Time Tunnel as a child? Visitors embark on a time travel experience, leaving all signs of modern life behind and emerging into a colourful 16th Century world of Tudor daily life.

Step Back in Time

It's that time of year again! Our Great Annual Re-Creation of Tudor Life runs every weekend until 7th July.

Spot the Mistake!

Soldiers and military figures from WWII and Medieval periods gathered together on our grand courtyard to show off their weaponry. But something is slightly wrong with this picture! ...Can you spot what it is?

Step Through The Ages

We are very excited to have four different past ages represented at our 'Through the Ages' event this bank holiday weekend!
