Visit the year 1520
We are closed.
We will re-open as soon as it is indicated that it is safe to do so. We have had no choice but to close indefinitely until the Government permit us to re-open.
This event will, regretfully, not take place during 2020
We shall update regularly, so please keep checking. The longer we suffer Government restrictions, the more events will, alas, be cancelled. We do hope you will stay in contact - we will continue to update you here and via our social media channels.
Meanwhile, we wish all those who know and love Kentwell that you and yours keep well in these difficult times and avoid severe infection of this virus.
If you have booked tickets for any of our events or opening, any and all such tickets will be available to be used for any remaining opening days this year or, if there are none, for days of the same event in the following year. No refunds will be available.
Kentwell's famous immersive living history event - reserved especially for families who home-educate their children!
Experience everyday life as part of a Tudor community and see the 16th Century brought to life by Kentwell's skilled living-historians, spread throughout the house, the gardens, the farm and the woodlands.
This fully-immersive, hands-on event captivates enquiring minds and fuels imagination, creating memories and experiences while they are having so much fun they don't realise they are learning.
You have the freedom to explore the event - spend a little time at each activity, or focus on selected themes to study in more depth.
A visit to Kentwell shows many of the activities relevant to many periods of history - it is a truly cross-curricular day out. You can even use our events as a base for creative writing, reporting and communications. You never stop learning here.
