A traditional Easter family day out

So much to see and do!

We are closed.

We will re-open as soon as it is indicated that it is safe to do so.

We have had no choice but to close the Gardens, Farm, Shop and Tearoom indefinitely until the Government permit us to re-open.

Special Events: many of our special events have been cancelled or are at risk of being cancelled.  Please check against each event.  Different events take different times to recruit, set up and promote so some later events may be cancelled before earlier ones.

We shall update regularly, so please keep checking.  The longer we suffer Government restrictions, the more events will, alas, be cancelled.  We do hope you will stay in contact - we will continue to update you here and via our social media channels.

Meanwhile, we wish all those who know and love Kentwell that you and yours keep well in these difficult times and avoid severe infection of this virus.

If you have booked tickets for any of our events or opening, any and all such tickets will be available to be used for any remaining opening days this year or, if there are none, for days of the same event in the following year.  No refunds will be available.

The Easter weekend is one of our most popular weekends of the year, with so much to see and do - with indoor, family-friendly activities and acres of gardens and woodland to explore outside.

The downstairs rooms in the House will be brought to life by Kentwell’s living historians, and the Moat House will be buzzing with bakers, dairymaids, ladies in the stillroom and needlewomen.  The alchemists will be at their hut in the woods and Tudor villagers and crafts will be in the outbuildings.

We challenge families to find the huge wooden eggs we have hidden in the gardens and to scramble the clues to crack the code they reveal!  This is an egg-hunt with a difference, for the whole family to join in with together.

Visit the lambs on the farm, and meet our horses and the miniature shetland ponies!

Coronavirus Information and Precautions: We plan to open on all advertised days.  Our site follows the personal hygiene government advice, and we encourage all visitors to follow this advice, to protect themselves and others.

Should the Event for which you have booked tickets, or any days of the Event, be cancelled due to Coronavirus, a variant of it, or any other such disease, then any and all such tickets will be available to be used for the remaining days this year for that Event or, if none, for days of the same event in the following year - no refunds whatsoever will be available in this instance.
