Lambing weekends

Bring your little ones to see our little ones...

Coronavirus Information and Precautions:

We are closed.

We will re-open as soon as it is indicated that it is safe to do so.

If you have booked tickets for any of our events or opening, any and all such tickets will be available to be used for any remaining opening days this year or, if there are none, for days of the same event in the following year.

The best sight of Spring has to be newborn lambs!  We begin our lambing in March and on our lambing days, you will see new-born lambs and young lambs at the lambing yard in our Tudor Stables — as well as older lambs out in the paddocks.  You might even see a lamb being born!

This is also a lovely time to visit Kentwell's Gardens.  The shrubbery and back wood are carpeted with snowdrops, aconites, primroses and violets and swathes of daffodils begin to flower on the front lawns and the moat banks.   This is the time of year when the gardens begin to come back to life, with green shoots and spring flowers all beginning to emerge.  The Courtyard's bedding plants and spring bulbs and the early fruit blossom in the Walled Garden are welcome harbingers of better weather to come!

The Wellie Walk Nature Hunt will take your family on a fun adventure trail to explore the Gardens and Woodlands.  There may even be puddles for the younger visitors to enjoy!

The facilities

A perfect family day out

House, gardens & farm

On the day, the house opening info will be as shown in the event details, above. You can also enjoy your time in the colourful gardens and meet the animals on the farm.

Food & drink

The Stableyard tearoom will be serving our seasonal homemade menu sourced mainly from the gardens with meat from the farm. We also have a tasty range of cakes and biscuits to tempt you!

If you fancy your own food, there is a picnic site by the main gates with a marvellous view of the house; however, we do not allow picnics inside the gardens.
