We are closed.
We will re-open as soon as it is indicated that it is safe to do so. We have had no choice but to close indefinitely until the Government permit us to re-open.
We regret to announce that, due to government restrictions in connection with coronavirus that this event is cancelled for 2020
We wish all those who know and love Kentwell that you and yours keep well in these difficult times and avoid severe infection of this virus.
If you have booked tickets for any of our events or opening, any and all such tickets will be available to be used for any remaining opening days this year or, if there are none, for days of the same event in the following year. No refunds will be available.
Wool on the Farm: Have you ever seen a sheep being shorn? Come to Kentwell this weekend and watch as Steve the Shearer shears our sheep!
Our living-history experts will be working with wool, while elsewhere their modern counterparts will be showing more modern aspects of wool and textile wrangling.
Some other crafts will also be demonstrated at the farm area.
Topiary in the Gardens: It's not just the sheep who are getting a hair-cut this weekend - it's time to clip our topiary hedges and sculptures. Come and see the Pied Piper Hedge, the Fruit Bowl, the giant Caterpillar and our huge Snail emerging from their spring growth!
It's a lovely time in the gardens as just about everywhere is approaching its peak - flowers, blossom and trees are all stunning, and the wildflower meadows are buzzing with life.
A perfect family day out

Food & drink
The Stableyard tearoom will be serving our seasonal homemade menu sourced mainly from the gardens with meat from the farm. We also have a tasty range of cakes and biscuits to tempt you!
If you fancy your own food, there is a picnic site by the main gates with a marvellous view of the house; however, we do not allow picnics inside the gardens.
Before you come...
All of our activities will go on, whatever the weather and your visit can certainly fill a rewarding whole day — Please dress appropriately.
The majority of the estate is fully wheelchair accessible in good weather but feel free to call us to discuss your needs.
Guide dogs only
No dogs, except guide dogs, are permitted within the grounds — sorry!
